Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins‘ cause of death has been revealed by the Colombian police. According to them, it was related to drug use.

Taylor Hawkins was an American musician who came to world prominence for being the drummer of Foo Fighters. He had contributed to the band’s entire albums except for the first two, the self-titled Fighters and 1997’s The Colour and the ShapeOut of Fighters, Hawkins had also released three studio albums with his side project Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders.

On March 25, the rock and roll world was saddened deeply after the news that the legendary drummer Taylor Hawkins was found dead in a hotel room at the Casa Medina in Bogota, where he was preparing to make a show with his band Foo Fighters. Every person in the music genre, such as Ozzy Osbourne and Lars Ulrich, has sent meaningful messages, photos, videos, and letters to the late drummer.

When people asked about the official cause of death of Taylor Hawkins, no one had been sent any information about the issue at first. As the time goes on, new details are revealing about the death of Fighters star Taylor Hawkins. According to Office Of The Attorney General Of Colombia, there were 10 types of substances alongside Taylor Hawkins‘ body, including marijuana, antidepressants, opioids, and benzodiazepine.

On the other hand, the report shared by Luis Carlos Velez that he was told by a police officer that he saw a cocaine-like white powder in Hawkins‘ room when he entered in. “Found an empty beer can, an opened bottle of vodka, a Coca-Cola bottle and some other articles which are being analyzed, but drug use has not been confirmed yet.”

However, it has been confirmed by Office Of The Attorney General Of Colombia that there were 10 types of substances alongside Taylor Hawkins‘ body.

The official statement says: “Colombia’s National State Prosecution Service can confirm the following after the initial autopsy on the body of Taylor Hawkins:

“1) That in the toxicology test on Taylor Hawkins’s urine 10 types of substances were preliminarily found, including marijuana, tricyclic antidepressants, benzodiazepines, and opioids.

“2) The National Institute of Forensic Medicine is continuing its medical studies to be able to completely clarify the facts that led to Taylor Hawkins’s death.

“3) Colombia’s National State Prosecution Service will continue with its investigation and reveal the results obtained as part of this investigation as appropriate.”

Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash paid his tribute to Taylor Hawkins during his recent show with Slash ft. Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators in Orlando. Saying that Hawkins was a great person, Slash had also touched on the late drummer’s talent.

“I’m sure most of you are aware that we lost a really close friend of ours last night — Taylor Hawkins, the drummer of the Foo Fighters,” he said.

“First of all, he was a great fucking guy — a fucking sweetheart. He was a really good friend and a kickass drummer. [We’re] completely crushed that we’ve lost him.

“So we wanna do a song tonight and dedicate it to him. So we’re gonna play something we haven’t played actually on this whole tour, but we’re gonna do it tonight. This is called ‘Starlight’.”
