Matt Heafy Says Rob Halford Made Him Live An 'Unforgettable' Moment

Trivium singer Matt Heafy took to his official Twitter account to show off his respect for the living legend Rob Halford, who is the lead vocalist of Judas Priest.

Yesterday(December 9), Knotfest headed to Bogota to rock its fans in Colombia. On the night, there were 15 bands appeared on stage and made the Colombian fans’ nights. Trivium was one of those bands who rocked the audience, in addition to Judas Priest, Pantera, Bring Me The Horizon, Sepultura, and Vended.

After the show, Matt Heafy headed to catering to get himself relaxed and drink something. Meanwhile, Judas Priest legend Rob Halford was also there and looking for something to drink. Matt Heafy saw him walking into the catering but didn’t want to disturb him. Rob Halford did not agree with him as he walked through Heafy and gave him a hug.

“I never assume anyone knows me or my band,” Heafy says. “Today, after an amazing show, I was walking into catering and saw the living legend Rob Halford was backstage as well. I didn’t want to disturb him.

“He came up to me and gave me a big hug and said such wonderful things about our band and I – about our/my hard work ethic and what we do. The rest is a bit of a blur.

Heafy then continued by revealing how an amazing moment it was. Being praised by a legend like Rob Halford meant a lot to him. According to him, it was an unforgettable life-changing moment for himself.

“I will never forget that moment,” as Heafy writes. “Thank you to a lifelong hero of mine!!

“That is all. I am stunned and elated and blown away. I exist in this metal world because of legends like Rob Halford. Hail Judas Priest and Rob Halford!!!”

There were dozens of people who sent heartwarming words for Matt Heafy as replies. They were saying that Trivium is a great band.
