Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page Recalls The First Date Of His First Solo Tour

Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page took fans back to one of the special days of his career and contacted fans with it through his official social media.

Jimmy Page, known for his OnThisDay social media series, is one of those artists who use social media actively. He adds more and more stories to his official social media series and taking fans back to his past.

With the recent Instagram post, Jimmy Page remembered the first date of his first solo tour and recalled what happened on this day in 1988. In his tour, John Miles joined him on vocals and keyboard, Durban Laverde on bass and Jason Bonham on drums.

In the letter, Jimmy wrote:

“On this day in 1988, I start the Outrider Tour in Atlanta, GA.⁣

This marked the first date of my first solo tour in the United States primarily. The band comprised of John Miles, vocals and keyboard, Durban Laverde on bass and Jason Bonham on drums. These guys had featured on my Outrider album and we were to feature material from that album and from my past going back to The Yardbirds.⁣”
