James Hetfield Has Donated 10 Custom Cars to Petersen Automotive Museum

The world-famous heavy metal band Metallica’s James Hetfield donated his ten custom cars to Petersen Automotive Museum.

The announcement stated at the museum’s annual press conference, with news of Petersen’s upcoming “Hypercars” exhibition, and the institution’s purchase of 30 vehicles that had just entered the facility’s collection.

Hetfield‘s collection includes,

Voodoo Priest
based on a 1937 Lincoln Zephyr
1936 Auburn roadster named Slow Burn
Delahaye inspired 1934 Packard, Aquarius
1936 Ford in bare metal called Iron Fist
purple 1956 Ford F-100 pickup truck 
and three cars by custom fabricator Rick Dore: Black Pearl
custom 1948 Jaguar
1952 Olds named Grinch, and Skyscraper
1953 Buick Skylark

Hetfield cars will be on display at the museum’s Bruce Meyer Family Gallery next February.
