Chad Smith Confirms Exciting News On Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Album Plans

One of the exciting news has been confirmed by Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith. The Los Angeles-based rock band is hard at work on the band’s upcoming album, which will be the twelfth studio album of the band.

Red Hot Chili Peppers has released its eleventh and latest studio effort in 2016, which is titled “The Getaway.” The album includes 13 tracks in total and the last-ever appearance of the band’s 10-year guitarist Josh Klinghoffer.

However, during a brand new interview with the Q104.3 radio station, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer made exciting comments on the band’s future plans.

Opening up about the band’s future plans, Chad Smith confirmed that Red Hot Chili Peppers has been making a new record. Detailing the new effort, he said that it’s very exciting.

“There’s a gag order on me,” the drummer said. “I do so many Zooms, and they’re, like, ‘Why’d you say that?’ I can say this: we’re making a record, we’re making new music, and it’s very exciting.”

Later, he continued by touching on the release date of the album.

“I don’t know when it’s coming out, but we can’t wait for people to hear it, and we can’t wait to perform for people,” he said. “Just like everybody else that really misses that experience.”
