Motley Crue’s Tommy Lee Makes Respectful Comments on Post Malone While Touching His Nirvana Covers

In a new interview with Apple Music, Tommy Lee, known as the drummer of the Motley Crue, shared his honest opinion on the American rapper Post Malone and praised him by touching his Nirvana cover.

On April 25, 2020, Post Malone appeared on a 75-minute-long live stream to aim to help the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for World Health Organization. At the event, Post Malone performed some epic Nirvana songs, including “Come as You Are,” “In Bloom,” “Lithium,” and “Heart-Shaped Box.”

However, recently, Tommy Lee was asked what he thinks about Post Malone and his Nirvana covers. Speaking about Post Malone, Tommy Lee said that he’s a big rock fan and revealed how they became friends.

“For sure. Your buddy Andrew Watt calls me up one day, I’m sitting here in my studio. he is like, ‘Yo, dude, me and Post, we’re going to come over and drink some fun beers, and just jam.’

“And I was like, ‘Rad…’ And I’ve never met him, and we’re sitting here drinking – all of a sudden we jump out into the live room, and we are just laying down crazy grooves!

“And one ended up on ‘Beerbongs and Bentleys,’ I play drums on that. So anyway, we became friends, and we’ve jammed with John Mayer since and hung out.

“I can’t say enough beautiful words about that guy. Knowing he’s a big rock fan, obviously, and then watching him play two hours of Nirvana covers…”

Elsewhere in the interview, Tommy Lee also added that he didn’t even know he was that level.

“Dude, I was bugging out! I knew he was a rock fan but I didn’t know he was on that level. You could tell he was feeling it; he wasn’t just like, ‘Oh, I’m gonna play a couple of Nirvana covers…’ He was in it.”

On June 11, 2020, Tyla Yaweh and Post Malone dropped a song titled ‘Tommy Lee,’ on which the legendary drummer has been featured.
