Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose is one of the most successful and beloved musicians in the rock and roll community. Although he is known for his huge tenure with his band, Rose contributed to numerous efforts of each artist.

Back in 2014, after being elected the greatest singer of all time on a list shared by Concert Hotels, it was reported that Axl Rose is the number one singer who has the best vocal range. According to the list, he was also the musician who sang in the lowest notes.

The 59-year-old musician Axl Rose has been originally known for being the lead vocalist and lyricist of the rock band Guns N’ Roses. As some of you might know, Axl Rose is his band Guns N’ Roses‘ sole constant member since their inception in 1985.

During his ongoing career with Roses, Axl Rose performed in every one of Guns N’ Roses‘ albums, which means he has released six studio albums as a member of the band. However, after Concert Hotels picked him as the greatest singer of all time on vocal range and lowest notes, Axl Rose had spoken to Spin to share his feelings about the list. Sharing his honest opinion about some of his favorite singers, Axl Rose, who has left behind Paul McCartney, Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, Elvis Presley, Elton John and many other legendary musicians, had said that there were better musicians than him.

“If I had to say who I thought the best singers were, I’d say first that I don’t know there’s a definitive answer as in my opinion it’s subjective, and second that my focus is primarily rock singers,” Axl said.

Although there was no ranking, Axl Rose said some of his favorite singers include Paul McCartney, Elton John, Michael Jackson, Roger Daltrey, Johnny Cash, and more.

Paul McCartney

The English musician, songwriter, singer, and producer Paul McCartney gained international fame for being the bassist, co-songwriter, and co-lead vocalist of The Beatles. Throughout his musical career with them, McCartney had performed in every one of The Beatles‘ albums.

In the past, McCartney‘s song with his wife Linda McCartney, Live and Let Die, was covered by Guns N’ Roses. As some of you might agree, he is one of the greatest rock musicians in the world, also being the richest rockstar worldwide.

Michael Jackson
