The world-known musician Ted Nugent discussed his current Rock Hall situation and blasted people who run Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, saying that they are rotten and dishonest.

The outspoken conspiracy theorist and activist Ted Nugent gained international fame for being the lead guitarist and occasional vocalist of the rock band The Amboy Dukes. Debuted in 1975 with his self-titled solo studio album, Nugent released 15 solo albums in his solo career. His latest album was 2018’s The Music Made Me Do It.

Over the past few years, the fans and artists of the rock and metal music genres have been criticizing the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame because of its unfair acts. After the Rock Hall announced this past May that the rapper Jay-Z was inducted into it while Iron Maiden failed, fans got angry and had boycotted Rock Hall.

Recently, Ted Nugent was guested on KNAC‘s Ruben Mosqueda. During the interview, Ruben asked Nugent that why fans have yet to see him in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Explaining the fact, Ted Nugent called people who run the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame rotten. He said that he is in the ultimate Hall of Fame which means he is with the real and true lovers of the music.

“Why am I not in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame?,” Nugent said. “That has a lot to do with the fact that you can’t always explain why people are rotten. Why do some people violate other people and commit vicious crimes and lie?

“I would like to think about what is going on with the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame… I don’t take it personal. I think I’m in the ultimate Hall Of Fame.

“I went on stage a couple days in Abilene with a great man Tim Montana. The Tim Montana band opened up for ZZ TOP to a packed house in Abilene. Tim Montana says, ‘We learned ‘Cat Scratch Fever’. Come up and play it with us.’ I asked Billy Gibbons if that was okay to do, and he said, ‘Oh yeah. I’d love to hear that.’

“They introduced me and the audience went berserk. So don’t tell me what my Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame is. I’m in the ultimate Hall Of Fame with real and true lovers of my music! There’s nothing more important than that.”

Ted Nugent Blasts Rock and Roll Hall of Fame For Inducting Madonna

Later then, Ted Nugent once again blasted the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame because of its unfair decisions. Saying that STYX deserves to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Nugent asked how dare they put Madonna into the Rock Hall. He also added that he is not angry about his Rock Hall situation because the real Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is enjoying with fans.

“I’m not offended that I’m not there,” Nugent continued. “But not because of me, but for the fans. Why isn’t a band like Triumph in there, but Grandmaster Flash is?! That’s just dishonest.

“Why are Patti Smith, ABBA and Madonna in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, but not STYX?! Are you kidding me?!

“You can only explain that is that the people who made those decisions are just plain rotten people. The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame should genuflect to Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Howlin’ Wolf, Muddy Wat1ers, the Motown Funk Brothers. Are you kidding me?! How dare you put Grandmaster Flash, ABBA and Madonna in that?!

“I’m not angry that I’m not in there because I’m having so much fun that it’s stupid. I have a new album called ‘Detroit Muscle’ which is another authoritative, rhythm and blues rock and roll from the Motor City. I’m surrounded by guitars and amps and I play with a bunch of killer musicians.

“My music is a flamethrower of fun, positive energy and piss and vinegar. That’s the ‘real’ Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, since the people who run the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame have been dishonest.”

Back in May 2021, the rockers and fans had started to talk about the band and Rock Hall after Iron Maiden’s failure. They had blasted the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and said that they should have been ashamed themselves. Dee Snider was one of those who talked about Rock Hall’s injustice, quoting his tweet including the news written by that says Gene Simmons showed he agreed with Dee Snider about his Rock Hall comments.

“For those saying ‘[Iron] Maiden didn’t want to be inducted,’ there are many actors and filmmakers who didn’t want their Oscars but got them anyway because they deserve them,” Dee tweeted. “How the artist feels about the group giving the awards shouldn’t matter.”
