Metallica Donated €1.5M to Local Charities During 2019 European WorldWired Tour

The world-famous American heavy metal band Metallica recently announced that on social media accounts, the band donated €1.5M to local charities during 2019 European Worldwired Tour. Donations were made through the band’s non-profit foundation All Within My Hands.

The band also wrote an article under the photo they shared.

“We want to extend a HUGE thank you to not only everyone who came out for #MetInMannheimwho helped us make this donation to Freezone, but to all the fans throughout the entire #WorldWiredEuropean Tour! A portion of every ticket sold was donated to a local charity, which means you helped us donate over €1.5 million over the course of 25 shows. It is super important to us to be able to give back to the communities that welcome us with open arms. And to be able to do it together with you – the fans – makes it even more special. Thank you! #MetallicaGivesBack #AWMH”

In the last show, Metallica donated €63,000 check to Freezone Mannheim, a provider of low-threshold youth welfare services in Mannheim to children, adolescents and young adults living entirely or partially on the streets.

“Closing out the 2019 European #WorldWired Tour, every fan attending #MetInMannheim has helped @metallica make tonight’s donation to Freezone, supporting them in their work offering low-threshold youth welfare services in Mannheim to children, adolescents and young adults living entirely or partially on the streets. #MetallicaGivesBack #AWMH
