Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page Recalls The Terrible Stage Incident He Lived In Italy

The English rock band Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page looked back on the band’s terrible Italy show and took fans back to those days by remembering what they lived during their show.

With a recent social media post he just shared, Jimmy Page added a new story to his daily “OnThisDay” series. This time, Jimmy Page was taking his fans to the band’s 1971 Italy show and remembered the terrible stage incident they lived during the show.

While he talks on the issue, Jimmy Page was saying that it was a premeditated operation. He also remembered how the concert ended.

Jimmy Page wrote:

“On this day in 1971, I played with Led Zeppelin in the Velodrome in Milan but only managed a few numbers before the police let loose with a salvo of teargas that flooded the audience and band. ⁣

“It was clearly a premeditated operation; we lost some equipment that night and also the enthusiasm to play in Italy again.”

In the comments of the post, a couple of fans stated that it was a shameful incident. Many of them cursed people who did that unacceptable thing.
