Thin Lizzy Share First Official Video For ‘Whiskey In The Jar’
Thin Lizzy recently shared the first official video for “Whiskey In The Jar” more than five decades after the song’s initial release.
Despite initial reluctance, the band recorded the song, which is an adaptation of an old Irish folk tune, yielding to the efforts of their manager. The song climbed to No. 6 on the U.K. singles chart soon after its release.
Dave Hudson of Forward Slash Studios produced the “Whiskey In The Jar” video. Harry French did the animation for the visual.
The song helped boost Thin Lizzy‘s presence for the release of their hit album Vagabonds of the Western World.” However, it did not end up on the album.
