Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page Reveals His Worst ‘Happy New Year’ Experience

Led Zeppelin legend Jimmy Page has just shared a photo on his social media account under the name of his classic ‘OnThisDay’ series.

While he went LA, California with Led Zeppelin for “Whisky a Go Go” show in 1968, Jimmy, who seriously complained about the delay of the plane, entered the New Year on the Los Angeles plane departing from Seattle Airport and stated that this is not the best way to enter New Year.

Here’s the statement he wrote about his New Year’s Eve experience:

“On this day in 1968, I was in transit en route to LA, California to play the Whisky a Go Go with Led Zeppelin.

There were very few travellers at the deserted Seattle Airport awaiting the flight to LA. The plane was seriously delayed and it seemed like many hours passed sitting and waiting for the flight to be called. When out of the sidereal gloom, an announcement was made over the public address – ‘Happy New Year’. It became clear this had not been the best way to spend a New Year’s Eve.”
