Bob Dylan announces March 2024 tour dates supporting his multi-year-long “Rough and Rowdy Ways” tour that began in 2021. Born Robert Allen Zimmerman in 1941, Dylan is an American singer-songwriter, author, and artist. He is one of the greatest figures of the 20th century who emerged from the Greenwich Village folk scene in the early 1960s. He was known for his powerful songwriting and ability to pen protest anthems and romantic love songs. Dylan’s stream-of-consciousness lyrics marked a shift within folk music and influenced rock & roll when he embraced electric guitar.

Throughout his career, Dylan has received numerous awards and accolades recognizing his groundbreaking contributions. In 2012, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest honor bestowed upon a United States civilian. In 2016, he won the Nobel Prize in Literature, making him the first musician to receive the prestigious honor. He has ten Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award. Dylan has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
