  1. “As of 2021, the net worth of Pink Floyd is $350 million.”

The right sum is $ 745 million, if your own data is right.

    RWa – $ 310 m
    DG – $ 180 m
    SD – $ 5 m
    NM – $ 180 m
    RWr – $ 70 m
    TOT – $ 745 M

  2. Roger is NOT a member of Pink Floyd.
All he does is talk about about FLOYD.
    Screw him.
The wall was awesome, but PF is not *JUST* The WALL.

  3. I love Floyd, I feel bD they had to split up. They made music that was music to my ears.

  4. David Bright-
As far as Syd Barrett goes, even though he is dead, any music he made prior,as well as merchandise sold after continues to be accredited to himself, and Floyd. Many musicians net worth is greater after death, ie. Kurt Cobain, Jimmy Hendrix, just to name a couple

  5. I think David gilmour has done a great job taking over for Waters. That is a hard position to fill. Still love pinky.

  6. Jeff that would be like say David not a member because he wasn’t there front the beginning, or Syd isn’t because David took his place. Don’t sell Roger short maybe you should take the time to look at who really has mostly had his name in just about everything. I’m not saying David wasn’t pulling his weight (far from the truth). But it didn’t go far after roger left, very few live Gilmour shows and the 2 asses are still fighting. And it took roger years to get a tour together.

  7. At the end of the day dear boy just have a cigar and wonder why one member made almost double any other? Sounds like someone was either: A. A greedy thief, or B. Had a better lawyer. Or C. This is clickbait. Or D. All of the above.

  8. Is it just me, or does anyone else think that Roger Waters looks a lot like the American actor, Richard Gere?
Waters was not Pink Floyd, but he did write most of the songs, Post Sid, came up with most of the creative ideas, and seemed to me to be the main driving force amongst them. I have heard it said by a Floyd fan that, for a lot of people, the main thing they liked about their music was Dave Gilmour’s guitar playing, which is also true. Some will always maintain that the Syd period of the group was the best. Whatever ones own feelings about it, I love all incarnations of the group. What gets me is when Nick Mason, or any of the other three, whinge on about Roger being too Dominant. Oh no. Not another album about his deceased father, dying during the war and all that, inflatable pigs, films, videos, and so on. Like he said about it. Try coming up with some new material yourself, then. You know what I mean? See you on the dark side of the moon. 🚀🌚

  9. The best member of Pink Floyd was David Gilmour , one of the best voice of any band and the guitar player , he carried Pink Floyd since 1983 when Roger left the band and for me one of the best albums is Division Bells 1994

  10. Does this factor in Nick Mason’s car collection? He has one car worth 50-60 million and another thats close to 20.

  11. Blah, blah, blah. They have a lot of money, who cares they earned it. We all listen. So, Just enjoy the music!

  12. Waters lyrics in wall was good and David sang, played, composed music and contributed to the albums.Roger refused to acknowledge nor give credit to others contribution and insulted them as having no creativity. It is good for PF that waters left .David was brilliant in singing and lead Guitar play by him was outstanding.
While waters playing is just average in bass guitar.David lead the group for sometime and released two albums which were successful moderately.Waters pink concept in wall alone is not enough and je is no Syd who was at a higher level. All of them made good money but waters alone is cribbing like a asshole.Waters is a spent forceforce no longer relevant to PF.

  13. I’m a huge Roger fan. For me it’s about his lyrics on Dark Side, Wish You…, The Wall and Animals, however, surely without all the members joining together to produce these amazingly evocative pieces of music and proper psychedelic rock, then it just wouldn’t be Pink Floyd?
As we know it’s all about Dave or Roger isn’t it? Who’s the best blah blah blah…. However, I ask myself would Pink Floyd have been the same without Roger or Dave? I think that without Roger there would be no Pink Floyd as we know and love, yet without Dave I think that there would. Roger would’ve found another guitarist 🎸, almost certainly not as good as the legend that is Dave Gilmour BUT definitely no one could write the lyrics and music that Roger produced and resulted in Pink Floyd.

  14. Just to correct you, the final album in which RW wrote with PF was called the Final Cut, not the Final count

  15. Mickey, I think Roger Waters made more because he got more song credits than tbe other’s.

  16. Well considering Nick Mason owns a Ferrari 250 GTO, and a GTO sold in 2018 for 70 million dollars, I would question your figures about Nick’s wealth.
He bought his cars well, its known that Nick’s car collection is worth more than he made from Pink Floyd.

  17. Hi Eray. The final album with “the misery” as a band member was The Final Cut. Excellent writing otherwise; you should read my Aramaic. Bless.

  19. Are you forgetting Mason’s car Collection? He owns s Ferrari 250 GTO that’s worth at least $75M plus others.

  20. The Final Cut.
    Not Count.

With respect to what you mentioned about your English. 😎

  21. So Roger the proclaimed Socialist has all this money! Seems like he should donate most all of it to charities that he preaches to us to do. Hypocrite

  22. part of RW 310 is partially out of “solo” projects so part of that 310 isn’t necessarily calculated in total value of “Pink Floyd Music Publishers LTD” or “Pink Floyd Music Publishers LTD (1987)” same goes for parts of the rest. DG has solo projects and so do the rest. and figure it was Nick Mason who underwrote the world tour back in ’87-’88 so taking the risk (yeah, risk. sure) he probably got not only a return on investment in the tour but participation as member of the band. sweet deal indeed! I’m surprised Syd had 5 mil from two perspectives. one being it’s only one record but a hit so he earned it but also that the powers that be ensured he got his money and not take advantage of him. it’s been said the band also made sure he got his cut of all of it.

  23. Roger is the richest because he wrote the bulk of their stuff. Publishing royalties are the money. All other members outside of Sid have the same net worth leaving me to wonder if all post Waters was a group effort since I don’t own any “new Floyd “.

  24. My top 5 Pink Floyd albums are
    1) Wish You Were Here
    2) The Wall
    3) Animals
    4) Dark Side of the Moon
    5) The Final Cut

So yes, Roger Waters is Pink Floyd, or more accurately Pink Floyd is Roger Waters!

  25. They are both geniuses (David&Roger) not to downplay the contributions of all the other members but they are all greater together than the sum of their individual parts. I just wish they could leave their egos on stage so they could go carry on making the world a better place with their incredible music….great thanks pink

  26. As they say in sports, the team is only as good as the worst player. That speaks volumes about all Pink Floyd contributors. The whole is the sum of the parts. Otherwise, Waters was really the leading force, although Gilmour’s yearning notes & tones were my favorites by far. As far as I’m concerned, The Floyd outshined all other bands ever including the pop rockers loved by girls everywhere, the Beatles, with possible exceptions for Tangerine Dream and Devo (and not Whip It) although they do have to grow on you a bit longer.

  27. People get confused about the entire “Roger is not in Pink Floyd!!” ordeal. Take a look at the back of your albums and when you see Pink Floyd Music Limited, Roger Waters most certainly IS a shareholder in that corporation. Stop thinking about Pink Floyd only being a band that had 5 official members throughout its history. Pink Floyd is a business. BIG business. After Syd was removed, the classic Pink Floyd band lineup of Roger, Dave, Rick & Nick each own 25% of the Pink Floyd Music Limited which includes all of the albums through The Final Cut.

Take a look at the back of AMLoR and subsequent releases. Pink Floyd Music Limited (1987) is the name. Roger Waters has no interest in that corporation. Why do you think Roger Waters was able to delay the release of the Animals 2022 Remix? He wasn’t happy with the liner notes on the inside of the album and since he wrote everything on that album and he is 25% of Pink Floyd Music Limited.

Roger has been on record several times since his departure from the rock band that he didn’t even bother showing up at business meetings because “the other three will just outvote me…”, or something to that effect.

I am fairly certain that Richard Wright’s daughter now controls the 25% that belongs to the Richard Wright estate. When you look into songwriting royalties & publishing royalties and whatever weird things exist in the professional music business world, Roger Waters makes more money from each copy of DSoTM, WYWH, Animals, The Wall, TFC sold than the others.

“Pink Floyd” is one of the most powerful brands in rock music history. This is a big, multimillion-dollar business.

  28. Roger is worth so much more not because of better lawyers, but because he has a wider vision than the rest of the band… Roger wrote the lyrics for most of the bands hits and was arguably the heart and soul of the band… David himself has said that the band had gotten lazy with their contributions and had gotten content to let Roger call the shots and write the material… Roger got pissed at their lack of contribution and decided if he was going to do all the writing he may as well do it for himself and leave the band… Roger in the lawsuits that followed was granted legal ownership of “The Wall concept and material” and David, Rick, and Nick were awarded the name “Pink Floyd”… Roger’s suffered mightily at first as he watched the band play sold-out arena shows and he played theatres across town from the band at times…
When Roger decided that the technology was in place to truly showcase his dream of how “The Wall” should be presented he put together the tour and hit the road in 2010 for his World Tour of “Roger Waters The Wall” Every Pink Floyd fan in the world wanted to see this show and it paid off big for him becoming one of the most successful solo tours of any artist ever… In the 219 shows the tour pulled in $476.8 million $US ($576 in 2022 $US) That is why Roger is worth so much more than the rest of the band…
He has followed up with 2 more very successful tours “Us and Them” for $228 million in 150 shows and his current tour averaging $2.6 million per show with the “This Is Not A Drill” tour ongoing as of right now… KH
