Slipknot's Corey Taylor Reveals How He Get Caught COVID

Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has recently talked about his current state of health and revealed the possible way he caught COVID.

Corey Taylor had announced last week that he has tested positive for COVID. The musician has no worries about his health because he was vaccinated, saying, “I should be okay – it’s the flu. I’m vaccinated, so I’m not worried, but I certainly wouldn’t want to spread it to anyone else.”

A couple of days after announcing his COVID, Taylor had updated his Twitter account with a video and informed fans about his battle against the flu. He told fans that “I am out of the woods. I’m still positive, but the fever’s gone, aches are gone – I’m sweating everything out, I’m still congested.”

However, in his recent appearance on Billy D, Corey Taylor has revealed the possible way he caught COVID. He said he might have contracted the virus from a selfish fan, although he wore his mask during the tour.

“It’s crazy, man,” Taylor said. “You go in… I try to keep my mask up the entire time.

“You try to trust that people are vaccinated or they’re masking up and social distancing and at least testing negative before they go to something like that.

“And sometimes you just run into those selfish people that don’t care about that. I think that’s what happened to me – somebody came to one of my shows and was in the audience sick and probably got several people sick, man.”

“I was actually supposed to finish my vocals this week,” Taylor reveals. “I got screwed, man, [by the Covid diagnosis].

“I actually only have really three songs left to do. I’ve done all the other tracks because I’ve been doing ’em in between tours, just fucking hitting it.

“I actually like this one better than the last one. I loved the last one. It’s really good. There’s some darker, heavier shit on it.

“There are some tunes that are actually really outside the realm of what we’ve done before. But it all fucking coheses together – it all works together.

“And there’s some fucking savage heavy shit, which I’m really stoked on. So it’s gonna be rad.”
