Producer Reveals Weird Truth On Paul McCartney's Current Thoughts About The Beatles Records

In a new interview with Talk Is Jericho, the renowned producer Rick Rubin has touched on his collaboration with The Beatles star Paul McCartney and said that he never listens to his band’s records.

The Beatles was formed in Liverpool, England, in 1960. Including legendary rockers John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, the band is regarded as the most influential band of rock history. Throughout its 10-year career, The Beatles had released twelve studio albums. In addition to those, The Beatles has released a two-disc compilation album in 1988, titled Past Masters.

After The Beatles was disbanded following their 10-year career, Paul McCartney has launched his own solo career. He has released 18 solo albums in his solo career in total. He also appeared in a band named Paul McCartney and Wings, which was formed by himself in 1971.

However, during a recent online appearance, the producer has talked about Paul McCartney and his current viewpoint on his former band The Beatles‘ records. The producer stated that Paul McCartney never listens to The Beatles records.

“I have endless questions, and when we heard the tracks individually together, it sparked memories in him that he hadn’t thought about,” he said.

“If you think about it, there’s no reason – I don’t know if you ever go back and watch your old [wrestling] matches but I never go back and look at anything I worked on.

“I might hear it somewhere at a party, I’ll recognize I produced that song, but I don’t go back and listen to my old work, as I’m always making new work.

“And same with Paul – he has no reason to go back and listen to it unless maybe he’s going to go on tour and he’s teaching the band a song they haven’t played before, they listen to it together, but he’s never analyzed the tracks, that’s why. Why would he ever do it?

“This was also the first time that the master recordings ever left Abbey Road in history, so that was a big deal.

“We were listening to the individual tracks, and I could see his surprise, and again, we take it for granted because it’s The Beatles, and he was there in the room, but even for him now looking back, it’s miraculous – he is miraculous.”
