Nikki Sixx Blasts Andy McCoy: "I Also Never Thanked Him For Getting Me The Drugs"

Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx broke silence on Hanoi Rocks guitarist Andy McCoy‘s recent criticisms over him and blasted him using his Twitter account.

Nikki Sixx has been rocking the music scene since he co-founded his heavy metal band Mötley Crüe in 1981. Although the band announced its quit from the community back in 2015, they back three years later, in 2018, with a biographical about their band named The Dirt. During that ongoing musical period, Sixx recorded nine studio albums for his band, which means he contributed to the band’s all releases.

Unfortunately, drugs, alcohol and heroin were the parts of Mötley Crüe‘s career, as fame brought a little trouble alongside itself. At the time, everything was going well for Nikki Sixx & Co. The band had achieved worldwide fame, and their albums were selling millions. One day, Sixx was left dead for about a few minutes due to the overdose, and that was the day he quit using drugs. Since then, Nikki Sixx has been sober for about 21 years.

This past July, Andy McCoy, who announced a new solo album, Jukebox Junkie, sent a piece of words about Mötley Crüe and Nikki Sixx. Calling Sixx a liar, McCoy mocked Mötley Crüe, saying it was their “25th goodbye tour.” He also revealed he every time tells truth, unlike Nikki Sixx, saying: “I speak the truth, mate. I won’t lie, like Nikki Sixx, through my fucking teeth.”

However, in a recent Twitter post, Nikki Sixx clearly blasted Andy McCoy, who also said Sixx never thanked him after he saved him from death. Confirming that he never thanked McCoy for saving his life, Sixx also blasted him with the words that McCoy brought him drug addiction.

“Andy McCoy has been on a rant saying I never thanked him for saving my life after a heroin overdose,” Sixx tweeted. “It’s true. I also never thanked him for getting me the drug’s during my deadly addiction that night… I get it, he’s just trying to sell a book ,a album or club tour…”

Earlier this month, Nikki Sixx talked about people who have tried to slag his band Mötley Crüe off. At the time, we asked if that was an answer for Andy. I think we were right in what we said. Speaking a little bit close at the time, Nikki slammed Andy today.

“Whenever other musicians start to slag us I usually look them up and realize they are in the middle of trying to sell a book, music, tour or something to YOU using my or our name,” Nikki said at the time. “Things that make you go hmmmmm!!”
