JIMMY PAGE recalls the last time he saw JAMES BROWN: “He Was Truly One Of The Giants”

Led Zeppelin frontman, musician and record producer Jimmy Page, who uses his social pages actively, recalled the last time he saw the progenitor of funk music, James Brown, and made fans emotional.

James Brown, who is widely regarded as one of those who are the major figures of 20th-century music, has passed away on December 25, 2006. He was 73 and such an inspiring musician, according to people of the rock world.

Anyway, in a recent post added to his ‘OnThisDay’ social media series, Jimmy Page contacted fans to mourn him. With the letter, Jimmy Page was mentioning his last met with James Brown and talking about his character.

Jimmy Page said about him that he was fit, sharp and bright. “On this day in 2006, Led Zeppelin were inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame,” Jimmy said. Led Zeppelin had been inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame, to which there was an award ceremony including James Brown, and the group were invited to attend.

“I attended the event, as did members of the Bonham family, but the other two members had declined.

“I had met James Brown on a number of occasions and his appearance seemed no different to any time before; fit, sharp and bright, but this was to be the last time – he was to die on Christmas day that year. It was a shock having seen him so fit on this occasion. He was truly one of the giants.⁣⁣”

In the comments of the post, people sent their good wishes to James Brown and condolences to people who know him.
